5.7 kilometers of flow, almost 900 meters of elevation gain and plenty of playful elements: The blue style trail in Tracouet It leads from the mountain station down to Haute-Nendaz and combines varied terrain with flowing water. Driving pleasure. For ALLEGRA, however, the project is also special for another reason: The Story the Tracouet in western Switzerland It already began last year, even outside von ALLEGRA…

THE STORY

The backstory of the trail building project

Trail construction began last year in the upper section, still outside the ALLEGRA roof. The former Sendas team was working on it at that time.

After the five-person team led by Marcel Moser, Senior Project Manager and former part-owner of Sendas, essentially moved in with us this summer, we took over the ALLEGRA project this year and completed the trail. The lower section was built by the guys from Helvepark. Planning and construction supervision were handled by Bikeplan.

That's why the Tracouet Trail in western Switzerland is so special to us. It represents a transition that has also taken place within the teams: the work of the former Sendas team has become a joint project under the ALLEGRA umbrella. Double the expertise and passion that you can see in the result. For us, this is more than just a completed construction site. It's the first joint trail that demonstrates what can be achieved when the knowledge and ideas of truly exceptional trail-building crews come together.

The construction

Eight weeks with three teams under the ALLEGRA roof

The project was completed in an eight-week construction phase, covering approximately 2,427 meters. With Foué and Yan as two highly experienced machine operators and a creative hand crew (Jean-Lou, Benoit, Romain & Will), work was sometimes carried out on three locations simultaneously. Close coordination within the patchwork team and a keen understanding of the terrain were essential to ensure that the individual sections ultimately formed a cohesive line.

The A-Team extracted maximum potential from every meter of the designated corridor. Where the topography allowed, they created small jumps, side hits, and other features that make the trail varied. The blue difficulty rating remained the basis for the approximately 1.2m wide trail.

We already know it: One essential Water management played a role. The water had to be controlled. flow away, This ensures the trail functions well in the long term and minimizes the impact on the surrounding area. Equally important was the management of the vegetation. Especially in the forest, the intervention should be kept to a minimum. How much care went into these details is shown in a small scene with Francois aka Foué in the machine. With a lot of experience iUsing an excavator, he carefully lifts an anthill to the side and gently sets it down. few Centimeters away, it appears again. An inconspicuous moment that reveals much about the attention with which...The Trail Crew works.

The TRAIL

A double flowy, blue Style Trail

Now to the trail itself: The blue style trail starts at the Tracouet gondola lift mountain station at 2,196 meters and leads down to Haute-Nendaz at around 1,390 meters. The 5.7-kilometer route with almost 900 meters of elevation gain takes some time, without the trail being particularly steep.

The bike's character is playful, agile, and beginner-friendly. Berms and rollers set the pace, while smaller jumps add variety. Those new to mountain biking can gradually get a feel for the lines and gain confidence step by step. More advanced riders can use the optional features to build speed, ride creatively, and get extra airtime.

The way it blends into the landscape is particularly beautiful. The descent begins at the top by the lake, leading into open terrain. with a view into the valley and of the opposite mountain range. Further down it leads into the forest, surrounded by moss, fir trees and blueberry bushes. The trail isn't too steep and offers enough space to find your own flow. That's precisely its strength: it's accessible without sacrificing playful challenges.

Short: The Tracouet Style-Trail brings a diverse range of options to Nendaz, catering to beginners and giving experienced bikers plenty of opportunities to try out the line.

ALLEGRA CONCLUSION

This trail and the project tell a story

Anyone who thinks that the trail is not feels good, that so many different hands and heads Those who are involved are mistaken. The knowledge of two Trailbau-Fcompanies have merged. (To be precise, it's with Helveparks (even three). The experiences and working methods from both worlds do we have brought together and incorporated into the further construction. It's all twice as creative, twice as flowing built. Based on different experiences, a large A collaborative effort that is evident both in the trail and in the team.

A big thank you...

…to Jean-Lou, Foué, Yan, Will, Romain and Benoît.
A-Team, you guys are the best.
