One territory, one vision

The Dolomites are among the most impressive mountain landscapes in the world: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spread across numerous valleys and regions, each with its own distinct history. This is precisely what makes the Dolomiti Bike Galaxy such a multifaceted project. It's not about developing a single bike park or building a single route. It's about creating a shared vision for an entire territory and consistently implementing that vision over the years.

Since 2021, ALLEGRA has been supporting the strategic steering group of the Dolomiti Bike Galaxy. The group comprises representatives from all participating valleys: a cross-section of interests and local conditions that requires collaboration on equal terms.

Many valleys, one offer

The various valleys of the Dolomites are widely separated and offer an enormous range of options: from technical trails and EWS park tracks (Enduro World Series, the global competition standard in enduro mountain biking) to flow trails and easy panoramic routes for families and beginners. This diversity is both a strength of the offerings and a real challenge for joint brand development and coordinated implementation.

The solution lay not in standardization, but in clarity: clearly defined target personas, a shared ticketing system, and cross-regional routes as a connecting element between the valleys. What appears on the map as a collection of independent destinations is experienced by bikers as a coherent offering – with one ticket, one orientation, one experience.

More than just advice: being there when it counts

The unique aspect of this collaboration lies in its dual nature: strategic and operational at the same time. ALLEGRA contributes not only as an external consultant who delivers concepts and then leaves, but as a continuous partner to the steering committee. Over more than five years, this approach has fostered trust, established structures, and a shared understanding.

Think big, take it one step at a time.

The Dolomiti Bike Galaxy demonstrates what's possible when regions think beyond their own boundaries. The project doesn't grow through grand gestures, but through consistent work: season after season, routes are expanded and offerings refined. ALLEGRA accompanies this process as a strategic partner – focusing on what is feasible now and will have a long-term impact. The result is a network system that is unique in this form in the Alps.
