Registration: Study days in Flims and Lenzerheide
On September 24th and 25th, we invite you to study days in Flims and Lenzerheide.
We are pleased to invite you to two exclusive open days hosted by ALLEGRA! Together, we will discuss the new implementation guide for MTB trail network planning in practice, the updated difficulty levels, the latest beginner-friendly offerings such as green trails or an innovative trail center, trail maintenance measures on shared singletracks, awareness campaigns, and the added value that can be created through monitoring.
The two days can be attended individually or booked together as a study trip and are designed as an interactive, hands-on experience. The aim is to gain diverse experiences and a better understanding of the latest topics and their challenges in the context of mountain biking and hiking trail infrastructure. With various presentations and ample opportunity for discussion, two enjoyable days are guaranteed.

Enforcement aid, levels of difficulty
The new implementation guideline "Mountain Bike Trail Network Planning" provides an adapted basis for the daily work involved in the analysis, planning, and implementation of mountain bike infrastructure. A new feature is a 5-level difficulty scale from green to purple. We explain its practical implications in detail.

The new Foppa Trail This is the first green style trail in Graubünden. What needs to be considered when planning and building a green trail, and what are the challenges? Flims Laax Falera Management shares their initial experiences with the trail and how the "Foppa" perfectly complements the destination's mountain biking network.

Monitoring
For several years, usage patterns of the entire bike & hike network have been measured. How can we use this data effectively? To what extent is the maintenance of the paths and trails related to it? And how will active user management work in the future?

Since 2019, we at Fairtrail have been supporting the canton of Graubünden to raise awareness about respectful and tolerant coexistence. We share success stories, lessons learned, and the impact on stakeholders.

We also want to provide time and space to pursue your own interests and explore the area. If there's interest, we can organize an open space session or go biking together. Please register and let us know your preferences directly on the registration form.
There will be enough time between the program items to exchange ideas, for breaks, coffee and lunch.

Maintenance and coexistence measures in Churwalden (theory and practice)
Maintaining shared paths is important and demanding. How can municipalities be supported in this task? What other measures can help promote coexistence? In this module, let's look at practical examples together and even try our hand at it ourselves, using shovels and picks.
We are also pleased to learn about the reports and experiences on this topic from the municipality of Churwalden. They have a vast, and in some parts heavily used, network of trails. As part of the "Bike Kingdom," the municipality is faced with a heavily trafficked network of paths.

Learning Lab in Lenzerheide
The new Learning Lab in Bike Kingdom Lenzerheide. Possibly the most innovative trail center in Switzerland? Here, in a compact space, you'll find everything the destination has to offer, combining awareness training with introductory programs. How do you close an electric fence? How do you recognize tech or style trails? The jumpline is the ideal place to get a feel for airtime on a bike. The destination explains the considerations that went into the design and why the Learning Lab fills a gap in Lenzerheide's offerings.

- Bicycle and protective gear: Please bring your own mountain bike and protective gear if possible. Rental options are available upon request via the registration form. Participants are responsible for rental costs.
- You are welcome to forward the invitation or registration form to interested colleagues.

- The maximum number of participants is limited; registrations will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The study day will take place even in bad weather; please wear appropriate weatherproof clothing.
