Brief description
Slightly steeper and considerably more technical than the Poya and Modzon flow trails, the natural enduro trail in Moléson offers a mix of tight corners, flowing sections, and challenging passages through the woods, with plenty of roots and a rock garden – ideal for experienced bikers. It also features jumps and doubles, all of which are rollable and signposted.
How do I get to the trailhead?
The trail is accessible via the chairlift. From the top, the route initially leads to the right into the first section at approximately 1,500 meters above sea level. This section covers 683 meters with a slight uphill section and a 75-meter descent, setting the technical tone. After a short connection via the blue Modzon Trail, the second section branches off to the right again. From about 1,400 meters above sea level, another 559 meters follow with approximately 80 meters of descent – compact, intense, and consistently natural.
Details on the construction phases
Between autumn 2024 and spring 2025, the Tché Don, a red enduro trail, was created in the Moléson bike park, deliberately taking a different approach than classic flow trails. Planned and implemented under the direction of Colin Leutenegger together with Gerry, Matieu, Chris, Fabi and Joel, this trail embodies a clear philosophy: as much nature as possible, as little intervention as necessary.
Construction began in autumn 2024. Throughout the winter and spring, each section was shaped, adjusted, and refined by hand. The trail was ready to ride for the official opening of the bike park on May 16, 2025. In its first phase, it was opened in a race-mode layout: individual sections marked with flagging tape, the lines clear, direct, and inspired by classic enduro races. Minor optimizations are continuously made throughout the summer season before the trail is opened in its final form towards the end of the season.
The red Tché Don Trail was largely built by hand. There was no machine-driven route, no continuous excavator corridor. Machines were only used to provide support along the sides of the trail, to move stones or earth at specific points. Approximately half of the entire route was built entirely without excavator assistance. This decision shapes the character of the trail to this day: roots remain where they grew. Rock formations were integrated rather than removed. The terrain was only modified where necessary for riding technique or safety.
The greatest challenge lay not in constructing individual elements, but in the underlying approach. Working in steep, alpine terrain without a main machine-guided route demands time, experience, and a keen sense of the terrain. Every line had to be interpreted, every intervention carefully considered. The goal was never to shape the mountain – but to work with it.
The trail: compact, intense, and consistently natural.
With a total length of 2,045 kilometers and around 300 meters of elevation gain, Tché Don combines technical riding with natural lines. Compared to flow trails, the route is somewhat steeper, more direct, and more challenging. Tight corners alternate with flowing sections before plunging back into rooty forest sections or through rock gardens. Individual jumps and doubles are intentionally included, but remain rollable or clearly marked. The trail is aimed at experienced riders, but remains honest: those who ride cleanly and read the lines will be rewarded.

Tché Don is not a perfectly sculpted bike park carpet. It's raw, honest, and lively. A trail that evolves, adapts to the weather, and demands riding technique. That's exactly what makes it special.
