A few weeks ago, after a workshop with a customer, we went on a bike tour together. To reach the start of the trail, we had to climb 800m along the road. I was the only one without an e-bike, along with two others. Of course, it was difficult for me to keep up with the others' pace.
But I wasn't alone, someone came. A new colleague from the A-Team, whom I had just met that day. He started to talk (later I would realize that he actually talks all the time and non-stop) and the more altitude we climbed together, the better we knew each other. Our ideas, our values and our goals. And it is probably our shared goals that brought us closer together.
Suddenly he started to help me (of course without interrupting his exciting stories). At first I protested, but we reached our destination and then enjoyed the trail together.
This is how every process in a company should be. Talk, define common goals and help each other. Go out on the bike together! So many wonderful things can happen that you can't imagine beforehand.
