We have exciting news: Markus Geiger has been managing partner at ALLEGRA Austria since January 2025. This marks another milestone on our path to innovative and sustainable solutions in trail construction, mountain bike tourism and destination development.

A SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR

As Head of Operations, Markus has already achieved a lot with his A-Team Austria in 2024. Turracher Höhe, Maria Alm, Serfaus and Galtür - numerous projects have been successfully implemented and have been creating unforgettable mountain bike experiences ever since.

"I am incredibly proud to be part of this team and now to be actively involved in shaping the future of ALLEGRA as a co-owner. Because we don't just want to build trails, we want to create destinations that inspire people and protect nature at the same time!", says Markus Geiger about his new role.

VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE

With his many years of experience in the mountain bike industry and his instinct for innovative tourism concepts, Markus has the best prerequisites to take ALLEGRA Austria further forward. Communities, tourism destinations and mountain bikers can look forward to high-quality, sustainable and creative solutions.

"Our industry has enormous potential. It's about combining the fun of mountain biking with responsibility for nature. Together with our partners, we can achieve great things," says Markus Geiger about his goal as Managing Director at ALLEGRA.

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

Sustainability and quality are more important than ever - also in the trail construction industry. Our strategy for this is clear: We create trails that not only offer riding fun, but also take nature and the needs of the destinations into consideration. We look forward to tackling new projects together with our customers and partners and developing the mountain bike world together.

Trail maintenance in Armenia: Sharing knowledge and preserving trails

Whether it's a hiking trail, bike trail, or shared trail: A functioning route requires more than construction – it requires maintenance. In Armenia, we trained local crews to enable long-lasting, low-maintenance, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. As ALLEGRA, we have been offering such courses for years: in Switzerland, Scandinavia, and around the world. Because only those who understand how a trail works can maintain it.
