The Campo Felice Camping Village is located in the Swiss village of Tenero and stretches along the shores of Lake Maggiore with a private beach. The complex offers a variety of accommodations, activities, and leisure options for the whole family. The mountain bike facility, built in 2015, is particularly popular and has attracted many bikers ever since. However, intensive use has left its mark – some sections of the trail have changed due to traffic, while others require maintenance. The goal of the project was not only to repair the facility but to make it more sustainable and attractive through targeted improvements. Two new Trails, refined Elements and a smooth flow of traffic along the entire route now offers even more flow and safety.

WHAT DID WE DO?

As part of the project, the ALLEGRA Team Switzerland Existing tracks were maintained and adapted to further enhance the riding experience and increase safety. The drainage was redesigned to prevent puddles from forming on the trails. The roller elements, in particular, were redesigned to enhance the pump track feel.

In addition, our crew integrated Velopark elements, i.e., wooden elements that enhance the dynamic riding experience. Two new trails have been designed, providing more variety and expanding the offerings through precise routing. These new routes offer an exciting challenge for bikers of all experience levels.

With a view to sustainable design, disused sections were closed down and planted with vegetation. Unused elements, such as a banked curve, were removed. The material from this removal was reused to further improve other sections of the route.

CONCLUSION: EVEN MORE FLOW FOR EVERYONE

With the measures implemented, the mountain bike facility was not only preserved but also further developed. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced mountain biker, the new trails and features offer fun and safety for everyone. Campo Felice Camping Village thus remains an attractive destination for outdoor fans and mountain bike enthusiasts.

Five years of work have created a 7.3 km mountain bike connection between Maria Alm and Hinterthal with approximately 300 meters of elevation gain, as well as two new single trails – well-thought-out, close to nature, and future-oriented.

Trail maintenance in Armenia: Sharing knowledge and preserving trails

Whether it's a hiking trail, bike trail, or shared trail: A functioning route requires more than construction – it requires maintenance. In Armenia, we trained local crews to enable long-lasting, low-maintenance, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. As ALLEGRA, we have been offering such courses for years: in Switzerland, Scandinavia, and around the world. Because only those who understand how a trail works can maintain it.
