Project description:

Together with ALLEGRA, Graubünden Bike all those responsible for trail maintenance (hiking & biking) in the canton of Graubünden have the opportunity to take part in a uniform, professional training course in trail maintenance. TrailFoundation There are also courses throughout Switzerland for anyone interested – the multi-day basic and advanced courses may be funded by the canton.
The training courses are the platform for sustainable competence development in the context of trail tourism, from which all participants benefit in the long term:
The Quality and safety of trail experiences are continuously improved, the Expertise of those involved expanded, Maintenance work reduced and the Nature protected.

ALLEGRA has developed the concept together with the TrailFoundation and the leading trail construction companies in Switzerland at national level. The courses are aimed to work groups, forestry companies, mountain railways, trail crews and other trail maintenance officers. Clubs or very experienced trail maintainers can also benefit from the targeted learning objectives and certification. The mix of theory in classrooms, theory in the field and practical exercises in the field is ideal for applying and consolidating what has been learned in practice.

Specifically, it is about the needs and requirements of mountain bikers together with topics such as Co-existence, water management, trail surface quality, sustainable trail construction, signage, curves, soil stabilization, responsibilities, etc.

After completing the course, participants will receive a course certificate or, depending on the course, a certification as Mountain bike trail maintenance specialist.
