Double “YIHA” in the A-Team Switzerland!

Tanned, with a friendly smile on his face and extremely motivated to get things done: Flurin Dörig. We are particularly looking forward to welcoming this Zurich resident, who will be joining the ALLEGRA Switzerland team as "Head of Corporate Development" in mid-February, the missing piece of the puzzle. The fact that his first day of work happens to fall on his birthday cannot be a coincidence, and that is why we are celebrating him twice.
Happy Birthday and Welcome to the A-Team, Flurin!

It's a long, long time ago…

As is almost a tradition with us, the first points of contact between Flurin and ALLEGRA did not occur when they were hired – but many years ago. Claude Balsiger, co-owner of ALLEGRA, recognized his potential early on: "I met Flurin when he took over the Swiss Cycling Guide training as training manager. I took part in a training course and quickly noticed how smart and good he is. The results were impressive: the training has made great strides in growth and professionalization." Fortunately, it didn't stop at that initial contact. Long story short, here we go: At the team meeting in Thusis at the beginning of February, we all got to know him. First conclusion: we can't imagine life without him.

More than a MTB guide!

We probably don't need to say that his private and professional life is literally merging with mountain biking and the entire industry. He recently tested the trails in New Zealand and spends every free minute doing so...drum roll: on the MTB. If you take a look at his LinkedIn profile, one word stands out: mountain bike guide. This job has shaped him and his life for a very long time. But Flurin is much more than that: he has been helping Swiss Cycling for over 7 years as an expert in various areas and, as the training manager, has led the MTB and road guide training. Very successfully, as we already learned from Claude above. He is also co-president of Züritrails and is involved in the Academic Sports Association of Zurich (ASVZ).

Drop In the entire ALLEGRA range

And what exactly is his role at ALLEGRA now? As “Head of Corporate Development” in Team Switzerland It will be exciting and varied: Flurin will not only strategically optimize internal processes and structures, but also has the mission to position ALLEGRA's diverse range of services even more strongly on the market. After all, we are not just a trail construction company. We advise, we develop, we plan, we analyze, we impart knowledge, hold workshops, give training courses, ... Flurin certainly knows what he is doing and can build on his extensive network. He complements our team of experts with his know-how on bicycle promotion, coexistence, trail classifications and the like in all areas of the ALLEGRA service chain. Not least when it comes to urban areas and their revitalization: In the team of ALLEGRA Movement He is setting up sports infrastructures and bicycle playgrounds that promote physical activity.

The certain ALLEGRA flair

But what counts most for us in the A-Team, in addition to professional milestones and skills, is character. And here too, he is simply the perfect match, a 10/10, so to speak. Flurin has an extraordinary personality, that quickly becomes clear. He radiates calm, professionalism, self-confidence, but also pure joy of life. He doesn't just talk, he does. On the one hand, he keeps an overview of the big picture, and on the other hand, he has a very fine feel for details.

Flurin? We are really looking forward to learning things from you, dipping into the next Eisbach with you and to your imprint on ALLEGRA! Welcome to the A-Team from Claude, Lukas, Mike, Darco, Kevin, Benni, Ornella, Mareike, Tabea, Vanesa, Colin, Joel and the whole Trail Crew team!
