Project description – Trail Center Hollola

The Trail Center consists of three trails and a central skills area with VELO PARK-Modules. A diverse range of options has been created in a small space, offering children and adults from the age of three and up the joy of biking. Despite the compact area, the almost 600 meters of trails offer a surprising amount of variety and different ways to use them.

The Trail Center is located right on the edge of the town center, in close proximity to the kindergarten and school. From here, the trails seamlessly connect to the cross-country trails of Hollola and Lahti, making it ideal for short practice rides as well as longer excursions. This close connection to everyday life makes the Trail Center an easily accessible place for families and young people to enjoy outdoor activities.

Particular emphasis was placed on the perspective of the target group. The trails were named by local kindergarten children, and in the final project phase, a six-year-old test rider was invited to try out the facilities under real-world conditions. The feedback from this test ride led to small but crucial adjustments to the trails. The project demonstrates the importance of actively involving children in the planning and implementation phases – because only those who actually use the facilities can judge whether they truly work.

…and how much passion is actually in the A-Team? Jonne He transformed himself into a moose for the opening – thank you for your efforts!

After approximately two months of construction, under the project management of Matt A unique trail center has been created in Hollola. Thanks to the ALLEGRA Nordics team and to our little test rider Havu – a pro of the next generation.
