Hello Rene
Who am I and why ALLEGRA?
My little legs were already out and about in the mountains of Styria, in the green heart of Austria, from an early age. Rumor has it that when I was only four years old I was already standing next to my parents on the summit of the Gr. Knallstein. A story that is often brought up at family celebrations... I doubt its truthfulness. What I am 100% sure of, however, is my longing and love for the mountains, for "being outdoors" and all the warm encounters as soon as you pass the magical mark of 1,000 m above sea level. Vision. Freedom. Fresh air. My path into tourism came suddenly, but not unexpectedly. I left my job in medical technology research almost overnight and jumped into the deep end of travel tourism. It was clear early on that I wanted to do things differently! We were able to successfully implement the philosophy of "Experience our nature on two wheels" together with all the habitat partners in the region for over a decade. The goal of all our trips was to not just be a tourist, but a local for a short time. With the pandemic and a growing family, tasks and needs have changed and I am happy to now be able to approach bike tourism from another perspective. On the one hand as MTB coordinator in the Austrian Alpine Association, on the other as project manager at Allegra. The many successful projects, the motivated people behind these developments and the noticeable drive in the work is pure passion. A passion for mountain biking, mountain sports in general and togetherness in our mountains, which I have shared with Allegra for many years and would like to pass on to regions in my work. Maybe there was something with the Gr. Knallstein after all...
My favorite product at ALLEGRA?
Although I love being out in the mountains myself and enjoy every kind of trail, I think it is particularly important to motivate our children to exercise and give them space to develop. Pump tracks, the "skate parks of today", especially in urban areas, are therefore the perfect playground for young and old.
What do I most like to talk to you about?
I like to make initial contacts, love to reflect on crazy ideas and think with you about the possibilities in your region. Let's think outside the box.
