Who am I and why ALLEGRA?
Hello, I'm Fabi and I come from Döbriach on Lake Millstatt in Austria - the most beautiful village in the world. I started in the A-Team 5 years ago - I was just curious and have always been interested in trail building. I've learned a lot at ALLEGRA and seen a lot of great places. That's what I really appreciate about ALLEGRA: They give me a lot of advice in the area of trail building and that helps me enormously. Chris Kehmer taught me everything with a lot of patience – I always think back to it with great pleasure and gratitude, Gerry I learned a lot about earthmoving. 2018 was my first season at ALLEGRA. For the first 2-3 years I worked as a hand shaper on the Trauls and occasionally in the machines. I have been working full-time as a machinist for three years now, which I really enjoy - even if it is a challenge every now and then.
My favorite product at ALLEGRA?
I like building single trails the most. There is more physical work involved and the excavator is only there to help. And the impact on nature is not so great. At the same time, I just like making things more beautiful and creating places where people can have fun.
What do I most like to talk to you about?
Clearly trail construction: How do you best get to grips with the challenges and problems on the mountain, keyword water management.
